About pink dragon fruit
Pink or red-fleshed dragon fruit, also called pitaya, is grown increasingly on farms across Karnataka. Its striking colour comes from natural plant pigments, which makes it a popular alternative to artificial food colours.
Why freeze-dried
Heat drying dulls dragon fruit's colour. Freeze-drying keeps the deep pink shade, so a small amount of powder colours smoothies, frostings and doughs naturally.
How buyers use it
- Natural colour for smoothie bowls and drinks
- Frostings, macarons, cakes and doughs
- Superfood blends and supplements
- Natural cosmetics and face masks
Sourcing and season
We buy red-fleshed dragon fruit from farms in Chikkaballapur, Kolar and Chitradurga, close to our base in Bengaluru, so the fruit is processed soon after harvest.
Packing and storage
We supply food-grade, moisture-proof bulk packs and retail-ready pouches, including private label. Keep packs sealed in a cool, dry place. Once opened, reseal tightly, because freeze-dried food absorbs moisture from the air. Full specifications and certificates are shared with every quote.
Questions
Is the colour natural?
Yes. The pink colour comes entirely from the fruit's flesh. Nothing is added.
Does it contain seeds?
Yes. The small black seeds are edible and stay in the powder and pieces.
What is the minimum order?
Minimum order quantities depend on the format and packing. We start with sample orders, and include MOQs with every quote.
